Fs38 PETROL STRIMMER
The Stihl Fs38 petrol strimmer is a light weight model
designed for occasional use around the garden or work area. As
with all Stihl equipment the Fs38 model is made to the highest
standards and is suitable for thinning out and the cutting of
grass in areas where a lawn mower is unsuitable. Long grass in
the garden and along walls and fences can be easily cut by the
Fs38's nylon line cutting head. This head is the Stihl
"autocut" head where the nylon line is advanced automatically
by tapping the head on the ground whilst it is rotating. The
petrol engine on the Stihl Fs38 brushcutter is a 27.2cc two
stroke engine. This easy to start engine runs on a mixture of
unleaded petrol combined with a quantity of two stroke
lubricating oil. With a low weight of only 4.1kg this unit is

weight, manageable size with a good power to weight ratio. This
Fs45 model is based on the lower priced Stihl Fs38 model but
has different components fitted to allow it to develop more
power. Although on paper this is only marginal, in actual use
the difference can be noticed immediately. The increased power
allows tougher grass to be cut with ease and with less effort
required by its engine. The loop handle fitted to the Stihl
Fs45 (as with the Fs38) allows for the mowing of grass and
light weeds in confined areas. With this type of handle and
this brush cutter's light weight there is no need for a strap
or harness to be used. The Stihl Fs45 uses the standard
"autocut" nylon line head fitted with 2.0mm thickness nylon
line. When needed this is easily replaced and is available for

The Stihl Fs55
petrol brush cutter. This unit is a true brush cutter in the
fact that the Fs55 has the option to use a metal cutting blade
as opposed to only a nylon line trimming head. The Stihl Fs55
is supplied with both giving you the option to use whichever
cutting tool is best for the job in hand. To give stability
when using the metal blade option this unit is fitted with the
traditional bike / cow-horn type handle system. A straight
shaft fitted to the brushcutter gives a direct drive to the
